LG Unveils More Human-Centric LG UX 4.0

Simpler, More Intuitive and Smarter Mobile Interface Understands Users Better

Karachi, May 06, 2015 — LG Electronics (LG) today announced that its newest mobile user interface, LG UX 4.0, will be featured on the upcoming LG G4 to be unveiled at the end of the month. The upgraded user experience promises to be simpler and more intuitive and will better understand and respond to the needs of each user.
Since Quick Memo and QSlide were first introduced on the Optimus G in 2012, LG has introduced major UX enhancements every year with each G Series flagship smartphone:

Up until now, UX enhancements have generally focused on delivering greater convenience to all users. With the new LG UX 4.0, the focus shifts toward providing more optimized and intuitive convenience to each individual at every user level for optimal enjoyment of their LG device.

Simpler and More Intuitive to Use
First of all, LG has created a smoother user experience by simplifying the design of the user interface and making features simpler to use by eliminating many redundant configuration steps. For example, Quick Shot is a new feature that allows users to take pictures quickly by double-tapping the phone’s Rear Key even while the display is off. And the improved Smart Bulletin automatically aggregates vital information from multiple apps on the same page for maximum convenience.

A Wider Range of Specialized Choices
UX 4.0 also gives users a wider range of options based on their own preferences and interests. The new camera offers three user modes — Simple, Basic and Manual — to meet the needs of all types of photographers, from amateurs to expert shutterbugs. Simple Mode does all the hard work automatically and still delivers great photos. Manual Mode features a suite of modules and options for full creative control that would impress even the most experienced photographer.

The improved calendar also offers more choices by giving users the ability to select and organize individual events posted insocial media accounts by simply dragging and dropping appointments. The new calendar allows you to get more done with less typing by simply touching and gesturing.

Smarter UX That Understands You
The improved Smart Notice on LG UX 4.0 promises to provide more personalized notifications for weather, travel and more by analyzing a user’s daily routine and travel schedule and combining this information with the user’s lifestyle habits. Auser who enjoys a game of hoops may receive a notification that says, “The weather will be mostly sunny today. It’s the perfect weather to get out and play basketball.”

Another example of greater customization in LG UX 4.0 can be seen in the Gallery, which can create event-specific albums based on the location and time each photo was taken. This intelligent customization goes even further with the Ringtone ID, which automatically composes a unique ringtone for every caller in the user’s favorite contact list.

Habib Bank Limited signs FINCA Microfinance Bank Limited for Loan Repayments through its Branchless Banking network.

Karachi May 04, 2015: HBL, Pakistan’s largest bank has come into an arrangement with FINCA Microfinance Bank Ltd for the collection of loan installments through HBL Express network.

As a part of its vision and social responsibility, HBL launched its branchless banking services under the premise of financial inclusion for low cost delivery of basic financial services; serving the unbanked and underprivileged segments of economy. Finca Microfinance Bank with a multinational presence in 23 countries upholds the same values serving the same segment through micro-crediting.

HBL Payment Services Head, Mr. Faiq Sadiq termed the union as the first real steps towards financial inclusion where two financial institutions are bringing forward their core expertise and bundling them together to serve a common goal.

Peek Freans Gluco launches 3 Bahadur Limited Edition Packaging

Karachi, May 11, 2015: Pakistan’s leading biscuit manufacturing company, English Biscuit Manufacturers (Pvt.) Limited (EBM), has launched a special edition packaging for its brand, Peek Freans Gluco, adapting the theme of ‘3-Bahadur’, Pakistan’s first-ever feature length animated film.

The movie projects its three main characters as Superheroes and the same is evidently highlighted in the Brand’s limited edition packaging. Uppal’s affiliation with the movie is a value addition, given his soft vocals and charismatic personality as far as the audience of ‘3-Bahadur’ is concerned. The release date is announced for May 22, 2015.

LG Marks LED Projector Leadership with New Portable Projectors

LG Minibeam Projectors Deliver Maximum Portability and Viewing Enjoyment

Karachi, May 15, 2015—LG is rolling out two new portable projectors this month as part of its popular Minibeam lineup. The Minibeam Pro (Model PF1500) is the perfect portable home theater solution while the smaller Minibeam TV (Model PW800) is an on-the-go TV solution.

LG Minibeam projectors are remarkably lightweight and offer greater portability than conventional projectors. Both projectors fit easily in a backpack or tote and take seconds to set up. Their wireless connectivity allows easy content mirroring to a smartphone, tablet PC or laptop. The lifespan of the LED illumination system is estimated at 30,000 hours, which means that viewers could theoretically enjoy their Minibeam projectors 8 hours-a-day for over ten years without having to replace three light units.

LG’s Minibeam Pro with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) is the top-of-the-line model in portable projectors. The PF1500 weighs only 1.5 kilograms but outputs 1400 ANSI lumens at an image size of 120 inches diagonal. Although compact, the Minibeam Pro is capable of replicating a near cinematic experience. With its four corner keystone buttons, viewers can easily eliminate the distortion even when the projector isn’t perfectly aligned with the screen. The PF1500 also has an optical zoom to adjust the size of the image without sacrificing sharpness. The Minibeam Pro can also connect via Bluetooth to sound bars, portable speakers and wireless earphones for an excellent sound experience no matter what the environment.

The LG Minibeam TV is everything that a customer would need in a television projection system, but smaller. Model PA75K, introduced in 2013, was a best seller among customers who wanted the big-screen experience but had limited space or didn’t want a huge flat panel to dominate their wall. Improving upon the PA75K with a brighter picture, smaller dimensions while using less energy, the PW800 is the first TV tuner-equipped portable projector to meet with customers on every continent. Viewers can exchange all their favorite TV shows wherever they are without having to sacrifice the comforts of a large 100-inch image.

Peek Freans Gluco inspires children through ‘3 Bahadur’ animated film

Limited (EBM), has partnered with Waadi Animation to launch Pakistan’s first ever full-length animated film, 3 Bahadur, to inspire children of this nation and give them hope of a better future. In today’s times, children of this country who are 55 percent of the population, have to be sensitized that they can be positive catalysts of society by exploring their talents and innate abilities.
