Tetra Pak Pakistan joins the world in celebrating World Milk Day

Thursday, June 1st, 2017

On June 1st, 2017, Tetra Pak the world’s leading food processing and packaging solutions company is, joining the rest of the world, celebrating the 17th annual World Milk Day today. Tetra Pak promotes the consumption of safe packaged milk all over the world. By developing and implementing awareness campaigns publicizing the nutritional value of milk. Along with listing the benefits of consuming safe packed milk and the hazards of consuming loose milk.

In 2001, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) selected June 1st as World Milk Day, which celebrates the important contributions of the dairy sector to sustainability, economic development, livelihoods and nutrition. With each passing year, the number of countries participating in World Milk Day has increased, to reflect ever growing interest in adopting healthier lifestyles.

Tetra Pak focuses on highlighting the importance of consuming safe packed milk, as opposed to lose or untreated milk. By nature, milk is a sensitive product. It is highly vulnerable to contamination if it is not handled properly during collection and transportation,

It is worth noting that, packed milk is tested before reception at the customer factories and only good quality milk is accepted. The milk is then exposed to the UHT process which eliminates bacteria and the six-layered carton keeps out sun, light, and air which makes UHT milk safe.

The Ultra High Treatment (UHT) process, exposes milk to extremely-high temperatures, at 135°C for 3-4 seconds, and is then immediately cooled. This process kills any bacteria whilst keeping the milk’s natural nutrients. Afterwards the milk is safely packed in Tetra Pak’s six-layer package without the need to add any additives or preservatives.

Milk contains 18 of the 22 nutrients necessary for a daily intake. It is rich in essential nutrients such as Vitamin A, D and B12, as well as minerals such as; potassium, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, magnesium and protein. Studies have shown that a low intake of milk or milk related products increases the risk of osteoporosis, resulting from calcium deficiency, obesity and tooth decay.

Loose milk is sold untreated and unpacked. It is usually collected in unsterilized containers without refrigeration and sold in a jar or plastic bag. It exposed to pollution, sun, and all types of bacteria, and in some cases, unhealthy additives are added it to prolong its life. Boiling the milk at home does not kill all the bacteria or remove the additives.

Karachi / SEOUL, June 7, 2017:- LG Electronics (LG) today unveiled its second X series smartphone for 2017 designed for active users who want a smartphone that can keep up with their on-the-go lifestyles.

The LG X venture is the company’s newest mass-tier smartphone designed for users who want a tough adventure companion device that doesn’t sacrifice on features or looks. With IP68 compatibility for water and dust resistance, the LG X venture passed 14 different MIL-STD 810G tests designed for the U.S. military. In addition to measuring resistance to extreme temperatures, shock and water, the LG X venture was repeatedly immersed in 1.5m of water for up to 30 minutes and passed with flying colors.

In addition to its resistance against accidental mishaps and extreme elements, the smartphone features Outdoor Essentials, a multi-purpose application designed specifically for the LG X venture with six useful tools in a single application. Bundled in the active lifestyle app is a barometer, compass, activity counter (steps/calories/distance), exercise tracker, weather reporter and flashlight. The phone offers a robust but stylish design with a metal frame and a non-slip back cover and will be available in black and/or brown.

LG understands that not all outdoor activities occur in warm climates so the LG X venture was designed with three physical keys on the front as well as a QuickButton on the side allows for easier interaction with the phone while wearing gloves or in wet or muddy environments. QuickButton works differently depending on how it’s pressed ― short press for Outdoor Essentials, long press for settings and double press to toggle Glove Mode to recognize screen taps and swipes with gloved fingers. QuickButton can be customized to launch your favorite application and works even when the screen is off.

The LG X venture carries over a number of popular features from LG’s flagship G and V series smartphones such as the rear fingerprint sensor and dual cameras. A 5MP 120-degree wide angle front camera is perfect for large group shots while the rear 16MP camera delivers breathtaking shots with incredible sharpness and detail. A heavy-duty, high-capacity 4,100mAh embedded battery lasts for up to 24 hours between charges and with Quick Charge 2.0, the LG X venture charges from empty to 50 percent in only 48 minutes.

CORRECTION: The original version of this announcement incorrectly stated the fingerprint sensor as being located on the rear of the phone. The fingerprint sensor is actually located on the front of the LG X venture.

“Consumers with active lifestyles want devices that they don’t need to coddle or worry about when they’re on the go,” said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “But the LG X venture isn’t a ruggedized phone that makes sacrifices. Its long list of features, long battery life and excellent photo capabilities makes it the ideal companion for customers who wants a phone that works anytime, anywhere.”

LG Expands Capabilities of G6 with Enhanced Features and New “Plus” Version

Thursday, June 29th, 2017

Karachi / SEOUL, June 29, 2017:- Starting next month, LG (Electronics) is expanding the capabilities of its highly regarded LG G6 with an enhanced security option and user-friendlier features. New capabilities in the form of Face Print, Low Power Consumption and Covered Lens warning will be introduced to existing devices via a software update and included in all new LG G6 units sold. In addition to these upgrades, LG is introducing a new version of the G6, the LG G6+, featuring additional storage and premium sound.

LG G6 FullColor RangeLG G6 Full Color Range

Face Print is an enhanced security option developed by LG that is more convenient to use than existing facial recognition technology. With Face Print, owners can unlock the LG G6 by simply holding the phone up to their faces without the need to press any buttons. Unlocking occurs as soon as the registered face is recognized, usually in less than one second on average. The camera is only activated when the phone is raised to the face so there is no additional battery drain when using Face Print.

Another new feature, Low Power Consumption, is built into the Qualcomm Hexagon DSP architecture integrated in the Qualcomm Snapdragon™ mobile platform of the LG G6. The All-Ways Aware hub takes advantage of Google’s Contextual Hub Runtime Environment (CHRE) to sense and collect data at all times from both sensors and wireless connections to improve the user experience with third party applications, all the while using very little battery power and reducing latency.

Covered Lens warning prevents shutterbugs from spoiling their own photographs with an errant digit. The wide angle lens in the LG G6 covers a large field of view and as such, it can sometimes capture an unwanted finger in the frame if the shooter is not careful. This feature alerts the user with a notification on the display if a finger (or fingers) inadvertently make it into the shot before the shutter is activated.

Beyond the enhanced software, LG is introducing two new colors for the LG G6: Optical Marine Blue and Optical Terra Gold. The backs of these new phones are covered with a lenticular film to deliver a mesmeric optical effect. On the front, the 5.7-inch screen is framed in all black for a seamless, consistent look that highlights the expansiveness of the FullVision display.

The new LG G6+ features a generous 128GB of onboard storage and premium earphones from B&O PLAY to take full advantage of the 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC featured in the smartphone. Available in Optical Astro Black, Optical Marine Blue and Optical Terra Gold, the turbocharged LG G6+ comes with all the innovations of the LG G6 with the addition of wireless charging in some countries.

“LG’s G series has always been about offering innovation and technology that we believe will appeal to as many customers as possible,” said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “By expanding the G6 lineup with differentiating features and colors, consumers will have even more options to consider when shopping for a new smartphone.”

The exact dates of availability of the software update and the LG G6+ will be announced locally in each market.
